West Bay Days was formed in 2012, a group of volunteers dedicated to the future of West Bay. We organise and support events for the benefit of the local community and visitors to the area, with all profits going to local charities. West Bay Days has organised West Bay Day since 2012, Bonfire by the Beach since 2014, Pirates Day since 2015 and Christmas Tree on the Green. In 2025, Pirates Day was extended to Pirates Weekend and West Bay Day was extended to West Bay Weekend. Pirates Weekend coincides with the school spring half term in May. West Bay Weekend is held during the summer in early August. Bonfire Night on East Beach is on a Saturday evening to coincide with the school autumn half term in late October or early November. The Christmas Tree on Harbour Green is lit either late November or early December on a Sunday afternoon. The tree is then taken down on Candlemas Day, 2nd February.
